Hi. My name is Stuart Galbraith.
I began my jewellery career 20 years ago, studying Gemmology at the prestigious School of Jewellery in Birmingham. It was here where I attained the Gemmological Association awards of FGA and DGA.
Remaining in Birmingham, I worked at the head office of a large high street jeweller involved with their jewellery production, quality control and also jewellery valuing for insurance.
In 2008, I moved to Kingston upon Thames as the opportunity arose to complete a BSc in Gemmology and Applied Mineralogy at the University. This gave me a chance to be nearer to London and more importantly Hatton Garden. Working again with the production and manufacture of fine jewellery.
During this time I discovered my love of all things CAD and decided to study CAD at the Holt's Academy (now the British Academy of Jewellery).
That was over 7 years ago now and ever since I have been working as a CAD designer primarily for major jeweller in the Garden, but now going it alone on a Freelance basis.
Experienced with Rhino and Matrix software's, I now create CAD for independent jewellery brands and individuals across the sector.
From simple ideas and sketches to photos covering all angles, I can create jewellery CAD models which reflect your initial inspirations, are manufacturable and will end up as beautiful pieces of jewellery to be cherished.
I love collaboration and I think this gets to the heart of creating a fabulous item, where all parties are happy.
I am able to 3D print samples should you so wish and can complete the whole manufacturing process from the casting, finishing and hallmarking.
